LandDev in the Cloud offers a service where users can login, and start using the software without any software or hardware purchases. All you need is an Internet connection and Microsoft Office™. Leverance provides the server computers at a special facility that supports high-speed Internet access. To use this Software as a Service (SaaS) you simply pay a monthly rental fee and training fees.

The LandDev system harnesses the power of Microsoft^® applications within a framework of tight controls to ensure that all data balances and totals correctly. For example, all of the Excel™ spreadsheets are created automatically from data stored in a database. These spreadsheets are stored in the 'Cloud' and are accessible only through the system's user interface.

Our system uses the PowerTrieve™ report writer for reporting. The report actually comes from the database, not the individual spreadsheets. All data in the spreadsheets is stored in the database. This allows analysis for both within and across projects.

The system does not include any accounts payable or general ledger functions. Instead, it interfaces with other accounting systems. such as Quickbooks and Dynamics SL (a Microsoft product).
